Leavers Height Chart

A truly beautiful way of marking the years a child grows — and a perfect way to mark the moment they leave school. Made from a single, generous plank of solid oak, it becomes an instant heirloom.

The classic central engraving carries a name, a family or a school motto — MIGHTY OAKS FROM LITTLE ACORNS GROW, or a house or school motto in Latin. Above this you can add a school crest, carved into the oak.

What makes the leavers' chart special is what you do with it on the last day: gather the leavers and engrave each name at their own height, a record of who they were and how tall they stood the year they left. A whole class, a boarding house, a leaving cohort or a single child — each mark is permanent, and the chart only grows richer with the years.

There is a great deal of room for engraving, so if you have an unusual idea, tell us and we will help. Mark the grown-ups too, or the height of the little ones when they were born.

Two hidden brackets at the back let it hang invisibly on two screws.

The scale can be metric, imperial, or both.

170 x 25 x 3.5 cm, with a scale from 40 cm to 2.1 metre, or 67" x 10" x 1 3/8" with a scale from 1 ft to 7 ft.
