How to install a Swing Frame
These are perfect when you don't have a tree in the right place, and they are simpler than you think to install.
Every installation is always unique, so we can not tell you exactly how to do this, however here are some suggestions.
We believe a family or a couple of people with some practical skills are able to install our swing frame.
The video below was never intended for wider distribution, but since a number of our customers have found it useful we thought we might as well share it...
From a more technical point of view this is what you are aiming for.
Please note that the drawing is not to scale, but the concept applies whether you have bought a single or a double size swing frame.
A few of our customers have even used our swing frames to hang our swing benches. The oak beams are strong enough to hold a roof (as they do in oak framed buildings) but we recommend increasing the concrete pads to 80 x 80 x 80 cm if you are using it for a swing bench.
With regards to the concrete, there are a number of convenient products on the market available from DIY stores or Amazon. For most of these you do not need specialist tools or cement mixers.
If you don't feel comfortable attempting this project yourself we recommend asking a gardener, general builder or landscaper for help.
