A Jar for Everyone & Everything in a Jar...
We aspire to “A place for everything & everything in it’s place…” and our jars go a long way in achieving this...
Ever since we started making these jars we keep coming up with new ideas for what to put in them! There really is no limit…
All types of food storagewere our first objective. Keeping things in jars immediately gives you that feeling of being organised. Keeping ones breakfast cereal in a beautiful jar goes a long way towards being a domestic goddess, even if it is not your home made muesli!
These airtight containers make sure that food keeps better for longer too. So much of our food looks very beautiful, so it is great to have your favourites out on display. You can create a whole wall of them, and it is as ecstatically pleasing as any piece of art! The square shape of our jars is both interesting and practical. It optimises the space usage and makes it easier to stack.
All the lids fit with any size jar, so if you change your mind about how big your cookie jar needs to be, that is not a problem. We LOVE an innocent looking collection with your obvious jar lids, like COFFEE, SUGAR and SLEEPY TEA, but then put in a few more personal ones, like RACHEL’S DANCE ENERGY or WILD (for the wild rice of course) and CRACKERS (for those things you put cheese on).
We know a lot of people like buying these for themselves of course, but they DO make the most perfect present. A single small jar engraved with JACK’S TREATS or GRANDAD’S WINE GUM becomes a very personal present. You can fill the jar with whatever their favourite thing is.
When we give someone a present we take pride in showing that we know and care about what they like. A jar engraved with RAPH’S RUNNING FUEL is a great way of relating to their obsession without having to know anything at all about running, cycling or mountaineering for that matter… they can choose what to put in the jar to fuel their passion!
If you are into giving presents to your children’s teachers then MR SMITH’S ENERGY might contain coffee, chocolate or vitamin tablets, depending on what keeps him going…
People often inject a bit of humour in their collections, with say TAKE THE BISCUIT of JANE’S MEDICINE. You can be as cheeky as you like. Our absolute best seller is in fact DAD’S NUTS, but it works equally well with anybody else’s name too.
It is however not only in the kitchen that jars are useful. We use them for anything that can fit in them. I have jars for loose change, the currency from our last trip or even as a piggy bank on my desk. I have another one to collect receipts in. In the bath room I display shells from our holiday in a jar marked with TREASURES and bath salt in a jar engraved with RELAX. I have my less precious jewellery in one labelled BLING, a sowing kit with MEND! carved… My ibuprophen lives in a jar marked with HEADACHES.
Minny has two jars of her own. One large one for her food and another one called MINNY’S TREATS. Next to those there is also a jar with bird seeds engraved with FEED THE BIRDS and if I was more of a gardener I would put seed packs in one called SOW A SEED.
Regardless of age, whether the recipient has two legs or four, is a foodie, cyclist or even a control freak, you can make one of our jars into a much treasured present for them.
It really is the perfect design for all your special things and all your special people…
