Don't save it for 'best'...

Some #workshopwisdom...

Why do people keep their roofs closed on convertible cars when the sun is out? Are they the same people who keep the silver cutlery resolutely locked away, promising to bequeath them to the children who will argue who gets which spoon and fork?

We buy things because they serve a purpose, and if we are very lucky they may also be beautiful and elegant. Yes, they may require a bit more effort to look after, but that is a metaphor for life. What's the point in a car with a roof that comes off if it is always kept on? Or cutlery locked away in a drawer? Neither item can be saved for a rainy day.

My view is the same when it comes to our carving boards, although they are meant to be used every day we have many customers who say they 'don't dare cut' on the board! But that's the reason for their existence, every cut is a slice of bread of live, shared with friends and family. Each mark is a moment shared; one of the pieces in the jigsaw of life. If you are lucky enough to own and Oak & Rope board, don't 'save if for best'...

Every day deserves THE BEST!
